The Big Man Ends Tennessee’s Final Four Dream
The Tennessee Vols could not overcome the big man. The season ended for the Tennessee Volunteers men’s basketball team Sunday in Detroit, mainly because of a 7 foot 3 inch monster called Zach Eady. Purdue’s big man scored 40 of Purdue’s 72 points…over half…and dominated the game in the second half. Tennessee actually led the game at halftime, but came out cold in the second half and that’s when Eady took over the game and Purdue sends Tennessee home one win shy of their first ever final four. The Vols go down to Purdue, 72-66.
The Final Four is now set as Alabama took care of Clemson and UConn dispatched Illinois on Saturday. In the other Sunday game, NC State, the 11 seed in the south defeated Duke. So next Saturday, the Crimson Tide of Alabama will face off against UConn and NC State will take on Purdue and Zach Eady. The National Championship game will then be played on Monday, April 8 in Phoenix.,
