The Bread Basket Having Food Drive For Thanksgiving

The Bread Basket in Newport is getting prepared for Thanksgiving. The Bread Basket is looking to fill over 500 boxes intended for families in need to have a good Thanksgiving meal. Items needed include ham; stuffing; canned corn, green beans and yams; instant mashed potatoes with dry gravy mixes; mac and cheese; cranberry sauce; rolls; and pumpkin pie.

If you do not wish to donate actual items, you can sponsor a family for $75. If you have a church that is interested in participating, you can contact The Bread Basket to find out more.

The Bread Basket will have a drop-off event for the donations on November 1 from 11am-2pm. Distribution will be on November 20th, one week before Thanksgiving from 9am-1pm. The Bread Basket is located in Newport at 625 Honey Bee Lane.
