Three Arrested In Home During Theft Investigation

Wednesday, the Cocke County Sheriff’s office Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant at a home on Morgan Road, Newport, in relation to multiple investigations of stolen property. While searching the residence 37 year old Nicholas Davis was found in a locked bedroom. Davis was the only person found in that room. In the bedroom in plain view were numerous syringes, tourniquet straps, spoons, and other drug paraphernalia. Davis was arrested on drug paraphernalia charges. Also arrested were 44 year old Gerald Sapp and 32 year old Amy Loyd who were wanted on an outstanding Capias in Cocke County. During that search detectives were able to collect further evidence from that home and solve other thefts and burglaries.
