TN Picnic

The Tennessee Picnic is in full swing with events planned throughout this week. Today is the showing of the historical documentary entitled ” An Extraordinary Man: Dr. Dennis K. Branch”. The documentary will be presented at 1pm at the historic Tanner Building. The documentary will be followed by an informal panel discussion. This event is open to the public. The TPA pageant is set for Thursday evening at 6pm at the Newport Grammar School. A casino trip is set for Friday, as well as the Heritage Dance Friday evening. Then, on Saturday, August 12th, the TPA Picnic happens at the Newport City Park from 1 until 3 pm. The evening will end with a block party and food trucks at the park from 6 to 9.
