TN Sheriff’s Assoc Warns Of Scam
The Tennessee Sheriff’s Association is warning about an ongoing scam regarding their organization. The Sheriff’s Association says that now is their renewal period and you may have received a mailing about that. However, they will never make soliciting phone calls, and that is what scammers are doing. Some people have received calls with a person claiming to be from the Tennessee Sheriff’s Association asking for funds. The Tennessee Sheriff’s Association says they only reason they will call you is if you are a member and there is a problem with that membership.
They point out their phone number is (615) 547-0277. If you get a call from that number soliciting funds, hang up and call that number back, or call your local law enforcement. The TSA says they do not like asking for money over the phone, which is what they do not make soliciting calls.
