TN Unemployment Remains At Historic Low
The unemployment rate in Tennessee remained at an all time low during the month of August. The unemployment rate for the second month in a row sits at 3.1%. That is the lowest unemp0lyment rate ever in the state of Tennessee since unemployment records have been getting reported. The state hit that record low mark in July and continued it in August. According to the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development Tennessee employers have added 57,900 new positions in the last year. The state’s unemployment rate is lower than the national unemployment rate. The US rate rose from 3.5% to 3.8% during the month of August.
Individual Tennessee county numbers will be released late next week.
