Tractor Trailer Hauling Cereal Catches Fire

The TN Department of Transportation reported a tractor trailer fire on the interstate Tuesday afternoon that caused traffic delays on the west bound lanes of interstate 40. According to TDOT officials, the fire was reported near the Foothills Parkway just before 1pm. The incident left the westbound lanes closed for approximately 3 hours, causing traffic to be backed up all the way into North Carolina. TDOT reported the truck was hauling cereal.
