Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest

A Traffic stop Friday in Cocke County led tot he arrest of a man wanted in Jefferson County. 41 year old Jason Lauderdale of Rutledge was pulled over and was found to be wanted on an active warrant out of Jefferson County for a Probation Violation 2nd offense. After a search of Lauderdale found a needle cap and a cut straw commonly used to ingest narcotics, he was asked if he had any illegal narcotics on his person, to which he said no. However, upon intake at the Cocke County jail, Corrections Officers stated they found 3.8 grams of what was suspected to be Methamphetamine on Lauderdale. He is now also charged with possession of schedule II narcotics as well as introduction into a penal facility.
