Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges
A man faces drug charges after a traffic stop in Cocke County over the weekend. The driver, 34 year old William Paul Hendrickson attempted to get rid of 1.6 grams of meth before being apprehended. A search of his Chevy Avalanche yielded 52 Gabapentin pills in an unmarked bottle. He was also in possession of illegally picked Ginseng. Hendrickson is charged with possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to sell; possession of schedule V narcotics; Evading Arrest and Tampering with Evidence. The ginseng was turned over the the TWRA.
