Traffic Stop Leads To Seizure Of Fentanyl And Cash In Jefferson County

A traffic stop in Jefferson County has led to a seizure of fentanyl and a significant amount of cash. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office says a deputy performed a traffic stop on east Hwy 25/70 Thursday evening. Kyron Edward Marlin of East Cleveland, Ohio was a passenger in the vehicle pulled over. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant and was taken into custody. That led the sheriff’s office to obtain a search warrant for a rental property in Dandridge. In that home, deputies found 2 lbs of suspected fentanyl wrapped up in small baggies. Deputies also seized $14,412.00 dollars in cash. Marlin is currently being held in the Jefferson County Detention Center without bond.
