Tri-Cities Officer Kills Man With An Axe

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is looking into a shooting involving a police officer in the Tri-Cities. According to the TBI , Johnson City police officers responded to a reported domestic disturbance just before 7 Monday evening where they encountered a man armed with an axe. According to those at the scene, the man came toward at least one officer with that axe, that resulted in the officer firing shots, striking the man. The subject was then transported to a local hospital, where he later died. No officers were injured during the incident. The TBI says that investigation is active and ongoing.
