Two Arrested For Drugs At Newport Carwash

Two men were arrested Wednesday afternoon after someone called 911 about possible drug activity in a carwash on Hwy 25E in Newport. The Cocke County Sheriff’s office responded and found two men in a white Honda sedan, the passenger was shooting up methamphetamine as law enforcement arrived. Deputies found over 3 grams of marijuana in the vehicle as well as about 1.9 grams of methamphetamine. Arrested were 32 year old Reece Brown and 28 year old Corey Sane. Both were charged with possession with intent to sale schedule II narcotics. Brown faces additional charges of simple possession and possession of schedule IV due to six Gabapentin pills found in his possession.
