Two Arrested In Parrottsville After Chase
Two people were arrested in Parrottsville Wednesday night after a pursuit by Cocke County deputies. A vehicle with no front or back bumper and just one headlight was observed driving on north Highway 321 in a reckless manner. When a traffic stop was initiated, the driver of that vehicle increased their speed with speeds of up to 97 mph. The pursuit continued onto Old Parrottsville Highway at speeds of up to 80 mph and driving in the opposing lane. The vehicle came to a stop in the parking lot for Hux Market. 35 year old Sara Jackson of Kingsport was the driver. She faces numerous charges including reckless endangerment and reckless driving. The passenger, Travis Staten, was found to have an ice pick type weapon and a set of brass knuckles on his person. He has been charged with possession of prohibited weapons.
