Two Cocke County Teens Threaten School Shooting
Two Cocke County teens have been released into the custody of their parents after they were arrested for threatening a shooting at the Smoky Mountain Elementary School in Cosby. Multiple witnesses told Cocke County deputies that on Wednesday, the teens, “made threats to shoot several students and to shoot the school up.” The teens had been held in juvenile detention from Wednesday night until appearing in court Thursday. During that court appearance, Judge Brad Davidson ordered the teens to have no contact with school teachers, staff, students, or each other. Davidson also ordered them to be on house arrest, constant supervision of their parents, and forbid them from using social media. The two suspects…13 & 14 years of age…face charges of intimidation and for threatening violence on school property or at a school-related activity.
