Two In Greene County Indicted For Child Abuse

A grand jury in Greene County has indicted two individuals on charges of child abuse. According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, On March 28, deputies responded to Greeneville Community Hospital for a report of possible child abuse involving a four-month- old infant. The Criminal Investigation Division began an investigation which led to the indictments on Tuesday of 18 year old Faith Ann Stewart and 21 year old Danny J. Furr. Stewart is charged with Aggravated Child Endangerment and Failure to Report Child Abuse.

Furr faces several charges includi8ng two counts of child abuse and one count of aggravated child abuse. He is also charged with Failure To Report Child Abuse and Criminal Impersonation. Both are being held in the Greene County Detention Center on $150,000 bonds. They are due to appear in court on July 31. The child is now in Department of Children’s Services Custody.
