Two New Police Officers In Cocke County

There will be two new police officers on the streets in Cocke County. This week, Deputy Trevor Starnes graduated from the Walters State Regional Law Enforcement Academy. Joining Trevor in graduating from the academy is Newport Patrol officer Hunter Strom. Both Trevor and Hunter had been Corrections Officers before going to the academy. The two men had to undergo 500 hours of intense training that includes: physical training, defensive tactics, driving, firearms, criminal law, and ethics. Congratulations to both Deputy Trevor Starnes and Patrolmen Hunter Strom.
