Two People Killed In I-40 Crash Identified
The identities of the two people killed in that crash on Interstate 40 Monday morning have now been released. According to the Knoxville Police Department, 58 year old Randall Ball of Jefferson City and 56 year old Latisha Beck of Morristown were traveling in that SUV that was struck by a Chevrolet truck that crossed the median. The driver of the truck was taken to the UT Medical Center with life threatening injuries, that person’s identity has still not been made public. Ball and Beck were both pronounced dead at the scene Monday morning. The Knoxville Police department is still investigating why the driver of the Chevy truck crossed the median and went into westbound traffic near Midway Road, exit 402. The accident caused I-40 westbound to be closed and traffic diverted at exit 407.
