TWRA Makes Good On Promise

The TWRA stated that they would have a big presence out on Tennessee’s waterways over the 4th of July weekend…and they made good on that promise. The TWRA says that during “Operation Dry Water” over the weekend, they made more than 20 BUI arrests on Tennessee waters over the 4th of July weekend. Boating Under the Influence now carries the same penalties as driving under the influence in Tennessee. A spokesman for the TWRA says that there were no fatal incidents, but officers did respond to six serious injury incidents as well as seven property damage incidents…and made a total of 21 BUI arrests over the long holiday weekend.
