TWRA Seeks Public Comment On Proposed Changes
The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency is looking for the public’s input in some new regulations that have been proposed. Earlier this month in their March meeting, the TWRA recommended adding two new Elk Hunt zones with two archery permits and two gun permits distributed. If the new changes are accepted then there would be 10 elk hunt zones and 19 permits. TWRA officials are also wanting to change the annual youth and gun hunt from the first Saturday in October to the second Saturday. Officials say the second Saturday in October would more align with students’ fall break. The public comment period will open on April 12th. The proposals can be viewed and comments made by e-mailing them to twra.huntingcomments@tn.gov.
You can also put those comments in writing and mail them to the TWRA at 5107 Edmondson Pike, Nashville, 37211.
