Unemployment Rate Remains Unchanged
Tennessee’s unemployment rate remained unchanged during the month of May. The Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development says the unemployment rate in the state stayed the same as April at 3.3%. The state added 2700 new jobs last month. A year ago the state set it’s all-time record for the lowest unemployment rate at 3.2%. Individual county numbers are due out late this week.
Nationally the unemployment rate rose in May from 3.4% in April to 3.7% in May.
