Vandals Hit Local Cemetery

The Cocke County Sheriff’s department is trying to identify the person or person’s who vandalized an area cemetery. Robert Caldwell notified the sheriff’s department that damage had be done to the New Home Freewill Baptist Church`s Cemetery, that is located on Holt Town Road. Caldwell told police that between March 1st and April 2nd, someone had turned over approximately 12 tombstones in the cemetery. There are no suspects at this time. If you have information about that cemetery vandalism, call the Cocke County Sheriff’s office.
