Vehicle Incident Leads To Multiple Arrests

Police arrested two people Sunday night involved in a vehicle incident involving a firearm. Casey & Kelsey Pittenturf told Cocke County deputies they were traveling on Carson Springs Road when a woman they identified as Nikki Gibson pulled out behind them from Clevenger Cut off Road. They turned onto Splashaway with Gibson following them brightlighting them and flashing her lights. Gibson then went around them near New Cave Church Road and pulled in front of them. The Pittenturf’s say at that point they were rear ended by a vehicle driven by 26 year old Justin Dockery, who exited his vehicle and pulled a gun on Casy Pittenturf. It was then that Kelsey Pittenturf called for police. Dockery and three other people in his vehicle were detained while the first deputy on scene waited for backup. A witness at a home nearby who saw the incident confirmed what Casey Pittenturf had told police. Justin Dockery was arrested for aggravated assault. Nikki Gibson was also found and arrested and charged with reckless driving and failure to exercise due care.
