Wal-Mart Victim Of Theft Over $1,000
Newport police are looking for three suspects that committed theft at the Wal-Mart in Newport last week. Loss prevention at Wal-Mart says that an unidentified male and female subject loaded up shopping carts with merchandise that included over $500 worth of electronics, plus a Nintendo Switch, then pushed those carts to the automotive section. A third individual opened the door from the outside allowing the pair to get out of the store. The three then loaded the merchandise into a Nissan Cube. The suspects then split up, some entering a black Nissan sedan nd the other party in the Nissan cube and drove off. A tag number was obtained from the Nissan Sedan, which came back as being a stolen tag. total loss to the store was over $1,000. No arrests have been made in that case.
