Walters State Offering Non-Credit Courses For January
Walters State Community College is offering some non-credit courses next month. In January, The Walters State Division of Workforce Development will offer parenting and divorce, welding and Microsoft Excel level courses.
• Parenting and Divorce, 5:30-9:30 p.m., Jan. 10 or Jan. 23, $60.
The college offers the state-mandated parenting and divorce class for divorcing parents. This class uses Zoom videoconferencing.
• Welding Level 1 (Stick Welding), Tuesdays, Jan. 16-Feb. 12, 4-8 p.m., $379. The course introduces students to the Metal Arch Welding process, which is widely used in construction, manufacturing and maintenance courses. That class is being offered at the Walters State Workforce Training Building in Greeneville.
Finally…Microsoft Excel Level 1, Jan. 25, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., $150.
