Walters State To Present of Mice And Men
The Music and Theatre Department at Walters State Community College will be holding auditions for its fall production, “Of Mice and Men,”. Those auditions will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 2 in the theatre of the Judge William H. Inman Humanities Complex in Morristown. You do not have to be a student at Walters State to be part of the play, as auditions are open to everyone in the community. This will be the first local production by Jack Truman, who is instructor of theatre and the new director at Walters State. Truman says he chose the John Steinbeck classic “Of Mice And Men” because it has important messages for students today. Truman, who is an independent filmmaker, has spent 35 years in the entertainment industry, including stage, film and television. His credits include appearances on “Murder She Wrote,” “West Wing,” and “While You Were Sleeping.”
“Of Mice and Men” will be produced Nov. 10-12 and Nov. 17-19.
