Warrant Issued For Cosby Man For Aggravated Assault

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Cosby man after he threatened to kill his girlfriend. The victim, Tarissa Freewalt told police that she had told her live-in boyfriend, 45 year old James Tanner, that she wanted him to find another place to live. She stated that Tanner became violent grabbing her by the throat, throwing her down a\on the bed and began choking her. Freewalt told police that Tanner took a pair of scissors out of his pocket and told her he wanted to kill her. Marks on Freewalt’s neck were consistent with strangulation confirming her story. Deputies advised her to fins a safe place to spend the night. A warrant was sworn out for James Tanner for aggravated domestic assault.
