Warrant Issued For Man For Aggravated Assault
Cocke County police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a man who chased a woman with a gun early Friday morning. Four people, including two juveniles were in a white Jeep on O’Neil Road shortly after 3am Friday when they came across a blue 1991 Ford F-150 pickup with a man at the wheel who appeared to be passed out. The occupants of the Jeep stopped to check on the man who was later identified as 44 year old Kenneth Ramsey. 27 year old Taylor Butler, who was in the ack seat was told by the driver to lock her door, but before she could, Ramsey opened the door and struck Taylor Butler in the back of the head with his fist. She came out of the vehicle and Ramsey chased her down O’Neil Road brandishing a firearm and threatening to kill her. Ramsey then returned to his truck and drove away but first attempted to run Butler over. Police later discovered the Ford F-150 pickup still warm on Lower English Creek Road but Kenneth Ramsey was not in sight. A warrant has been issued for his arrest for aggravated assault.
