Woman Arrested For Disorderly Conduct

A call about a woman screaming and thrashing around inside the cab of a tractor trailer at Weigel’s in Newport sent police to that store’s truck parking lot Wednesday evening. 49 year old driver, Kenny Hall, told police that he had picked up 27 year old Amber Perry in South Carolina to give her a ride. He stated that she had taken $140 from his wallet. When he confronted her, she gave him back only $60. Amber Perry stated that she did take the money but had given it back and that she was an “escort” and had told Hall she would provide sexual acts for money, but stated she actually had no intention of doing so. Perry, who appeared to be under the influence of meth would go from speaking coherently to fits of screaming. She was arrested and charged with prostitution, theft under $1,000 and disorderly conduct.
