Woman Charged With Non-Emergency Call To 911

A woman was arrested in Newport Sunday night after she called 911 saying she was putting on a show for her neighbors and then hung up. When police arrived, 56 year old Karen Stinson told the officer “You’re just in time, I was staging a crime scene”. She then invited Officer Paul Weber to come in and see her crime scene which consisted of magazines laying on the floor through the hallways of her home. She told Weber that she called 911 to spread the work of Jesus and that she was acting, putting on a show, high on life. She is also now charges with making a non-emergency call to 911.
