Woman Trespassed For Shoplifting, Arrested For Shoplifting
A woman who had been trespassed from Wal-Mart in Newport because of several incidenets of shoplifting back in August was arrested this week after being caught shoplifting at Wal-Mart. Loss prevention at the store told police that 31 year old Shanley Griifin though trespassed from the store was caught trying to take a cart full of items out of the store. Griffin had over $800 worth of goods in the cart. She stated she had money to pay for the items but only had a food stamp card on her. None of the items in her cart qualified for using a food stamp card. Griffin was also found to be charging her phone with a $45.74 Wal-Mart battery pack that she removed from a security enclosed shelf and then removed from the box. She was charged with theft under $1,000. Griffin has been confirmed to be trespassed from several Wal-Marts in not just Tennessee, but also in Georgia and Florida as well.
