World War II Veteran Celebrates 100 Years
The Cocke County Sheriff’s office was called in to handle a very special mission on Wednesday. Sevier County Sheriff Michael Hodges contacted Cocke County Sheriff CJ Ball’s office requesting them to escort someone into Sevier County to be turned over to Sevier County Deputies. The person needing escorting was World War II veteran Ed Roenicke. You see, Mr. Roenicke needed to be transported to…his 100th birthday party. The Cocke County Sheriff’s office transported the centragenarian to Bush Beans where he was then transferred into the custody of Sevier County Deputies who took him to the party, which was held at the new Heartsong Resort. Happy Birthday.
