Would Be Thief Thwarted By Broken Starter

Police are trying to identify the suspects that tired to steal a work truck last weekend. The truck belongs to Helton Electric. Employees there showed police video of a vehicle pulling into a car wash across from Helton Electric’s parking lot on Hwy 25E. A man in that vehicle then walked across the highway over to Helton Electric and got into one of the work trucks. The man then damaged the steering column in an attempt to hotwire the truck. However, the would be thief was not successful, because the starter was damaged on that particular truck, therefore keeping the truck from starting. The identities of the suspects are still unknown.
