Wyoming Woman Files Report On Cocke County Exotic Animal Dealer
A Wyoming woman has filed a report with the Cocke County Sheriff’s Department concerning a livestock dealer in Bybee. Debra Herbert of Sheridan, Wyoming told the sheriff’s office that she had contacted Frazier Farms, who bill themselves as a dealer in exotic animals. Herbert was looking to purchase a bobcat. She says on April 18th, she made contact with Crystal Frazier of Frazier Farms in Bybee and made a deposit of $1,375 for the purchase of the bobcat. Then, on May 27th, Herbert made another payment of $1,375 and traveled to Virginia to meet Frazier. Upon getting to Virginia, Frazier told Herbert that the bobcat had been “hi-jacked” by an unknown person. Herbert then agreed to meet a courier in Blue Springs, Missouri to take possession of a bobcat. However, the courier never showed.
Herbert says that on June 28th, she agreed to meet Cynthia Frazier again, this time at the Hampton Inn on Cosby Hwy in Newport. This time, Frazier was a no-show telling Herbert over the phone that the bobcats had not been born yet. On Wednesday, Herbert was to meet Frazier again at the Hampton Inn to pick up the bobcat she was out money for. Once again, Frazier did not show up. After waiting for several hours, Herbert drove to the Cocke County Sheriff’s office and filed a report.
