Body Of Missing Gatlinburg Woman Found

The search is over for a missing Gatlinburg woman. The body of 76 year old Claudene Whaley was found on Saturday. The TBI is not releasing many details at this time including where they found her body. Claudene Whaley was reported missing by her family on Sunday August 7th and the TBI issued a silver alert on Monday August 8th. Her vehicle was found on Gulf Road in Cocke County on the evening of Wednesday August 10th. A search was then undertaken focused on the Martha Sundquist State Forest. The TBI said last week that the search was being hindered by extremely rough and steep terrain.
