Charges Pending In Death Of Jones Cove Woman

Charges are pending in the death of a woman in the Cosby area. The Tennessee Highway patrol has confirmed that a 72 year old woman was struck by a car while trying to get mail out of her mailbox. This happened in the 4700 block of Jones Cove Road just inside the Sevier County line. That is near the intersection with Bogard Road. The THP says that 72 year old Helen Agnew was trying to get her mail when she was hit by a Nissan Altima driven by a 46 year old woman. Ms. Agnew was originally listed as injured, but has now died because of her injuries. THP says charges are pending against the driver of the Nissan Altima.
