Man Charged DUI, Reckless Endangerment

A man was arrested Tuesday in Cocke County after causing an accident on Bogard Road. Arthur Stepanyan of Sevierville told a deputy that he was on Bogard Road when he came up behind a pickup driven by Heath Arrowwood of Cosby. Arrowwood was driving erratically and at one point stopped in the middle of the road. Stepanyan says that after sitting there for a moment, he decided to go around the truck in front of him. But once in front of Arrowwood, Stepanyan says he began to fear for his life as Arrowwood began following him closely, and even ramming into the back of his vehicle. The last time Arrowwood rammed into Stepanyan , it caused both vehicles to lose control. Stepanyan was able to regain control of his, but Arrowwood rolled over and came to on its top. Stepanyan says that Arrowwood then tried to drag him from his vehicle.

Arrowwood was found to be driving under the influence. He faces a charge of DUI, but also felony charges of Aggravated Assault and Reckless Endangerment.
