Parents Of Summer Wells In Juvenile Court

The parents of Summer Wells appeared in juvenile court in Hawkins county yesterday afternoon. Summer’s mother Candus Bly confirmed that Summer’s brothers had been in the custody of the Department of Children’s Services since late last week. Bly, who said they have hired an attorney, refused to reveal a reason why her sons were removed from the home. She did say that the disappearance of her 5 year old daughter is a completely separate issue than what has led to the involvement of children’s services with the couple’s male children. The boys’ father Don Wells says that his other children are safer now that they are in DCS custody, but he did not say why.

The family came to attention when their 5 year old daughter Summer Wells disappeared from their home on June 15th. She has not been seen since…The TBI says they have received over 1,000 tips regarding the girls’ disappearance but none have led to any credible leads in finding Summer Wells.
