Public Meeting Regarding Grant For Flood Victims To Be Held
An important meeting is coming up for those who have homes that were affected by Hurricane Helene last September. The Tennessee Community Assistance Corporation along with Cocke County Government officials will be hosting a public meeting regarding a Home Rehabilitation Grant for Cocke County residents. The meeting will provide answers to questions that residents may have about the grant, which is available to those who quailify.
So how do you qualify…
1. You must meet income requirements
2. You need your Warranty Deed showing that you own the home and the land it is located on
3. You need to have lived in the home for a period of at least one year, which has to be located in Cocke County and the property taxes have to be paid to date
4. The home has to have been damaged during the September 27 flood caused by Hurricane Helene.
The Cocke County mayor’s office says if you were affected by the flood and live in Cocke County you should attend this meeting, which will be on May 29 at 6pm at the Cocke County Courthouse.
