Pell Grant Students Eligible For Internet Discount
If you are a college student and you’re going to school on a Pell Grant…you are eligible for a program to help with your internet bill. Pell recipients can enroll in the Federal Emergency Broadband Benefit program, which experts say could help bridge the digital divide when it comes to access to affordable and reliable internet among college students. College students receiving Pell Grants are eligible for this temporary federal program that provides 50-dollars per month, to pay for internet service.
To apply online, you can visit ‘GetEmergencyBroadband.org’, or call 833-511-0311 for a paper application. According to the F-C-C, more than three million people have already signed up for this program.
