Two People Arrested For Public Intoxication

Late Tuesday afternoon Newport police responded to a call about a man sitting outside Wal-Mart…asleep. Officer Justin Shelton found Charlie McNabb slumped on the ground asleep. McNabb said he was just resting…McNabb was clearly under the influence of a narcotic. A search of McNabb found a glass pipe used to smoke narcotics in his front pocket. McNabb for his own safety was arrested for public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Also Tuesday police found 43 year old Alice Vick walking down E. Main Street with arms flailing talking to herself. When police asked her what day it was she responded Thursday maybe Friday. She stated that she had just been released from jail. Vick was clearly under the influence of narcotics and since she was a danger to herself and others, she was re-arrested for public intoxication and taken back to jail.
