Pigeon Forge Man Has Award Winning Film

A Pigeon Forge man is now an award winning film maker. Vinnie Vineyard directed a horror movie called “The Hike” that was set in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. That film has now won international as well as local awards. The movie follows a group of people on a hike through the mountains where they come across Spear Finger….who according to Cherokee legend, is a shapeshifting mimic who would scare people in the mountains. Vineyard says that according to the legend Spear Finger used to walk from Townsend to North Carolina and cause terror to people in the mountains. He says that while there are scary moments in the film, there are also funny moments as well.
