WNPC Sponsoring Cocke County Christmas Angels

Back in 2019, local State Farm Insurance agent Angela Grooms along with a few friends started a toy drive for kids in Cocke County and actually provided toys to 70 children that year. In 2020 that number rose to 200 children getting toys. This year, 92.3 WNPC is proud to help sponsor the Cocke County Christmas Angels 2021 Toy Drive. The community can drop off toy donations now through December 15th at various locations in the county including the WNPC studios…plus at Angela Grooms State Farm office at 258 East Main Street…Manes Funeral Home in Newport…Rocky Top Grafix on North Street…Scenic Realty in the Western Plaza…NAPA automotive on west Broadway…the Memorial Baptist Church on west Broadway and at 972 west Hwy 25-70 in Newport. Toys will be distributed at the Memorial Baptist Church on Saturday December 18th.

Also this year, Cocke County Christmas Angels will be providing gift bags to local nursing home residents…so things like blankets, socks, chap stick, body lotion and such are being accepted at the drop off locations as well.
