Killer Clown Case Delayed
What is being referred to as the “Killer Clown” case will not be going to trial next month in Florida as originally planned. An East Tennessee woman is sitting in a Florida jail, where she has been since being arrested several years ago for killing her husband’s former wife in 1990. Shelia Keen-Warren is accused of dressing up as a clown in May of 1990 and walking up to the home of Michael & Marlene Warren in Wellington, Florida. Prosecutors say when Marlene Warren opened the front door, Shelia Keen shot her in the face. Marlene Warren died two days later. Shelia Keen was rumored to be having an affair at the time with Michael Warren. The two would eventually marry in 2002 and move to East Tennessee. Shelia Keen-Warren would operate a restaurant in Kingsport called “The Purple Cow” until she was arrested for first degree murder in 2017. That case was to go to trial on September 8th of last year but was postponed till June 3, of this year. However, that June 3rd date has now been cancelled and court documents show a status check for June 14th but no trial date yet set. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty in that case.
