Man Arrested Had Nine Active Warants

Police arrested a man Wednesday afternoon after he was found lying in someone else’s backyard. The man identified himself to officers as Alex Johnson. That turned out to be false as his real identity was found to be Cody Johnson. The 28 year old had a box in his pocket that contained 8 grams of meth and another gram of heroin. He attempted to flee from police but was taken into custody and charged with possession of schedule I narcotics and possession, sale or delivery of methamphetamine, plus public intoxication. Johnson was found to have NINE active warrants against him in Cocke County.
