Motorcyclist Receives Minor Injuries In Accident

A Newport man suffered minor injuries when a car pulled in front of the motorcycle he was driving on Cosby Hwy. The accident happened near Dixie Pawn Saturday afternoon. 31 year old Jacob Saylor was traveling northbound on Cosby Hwy when a car driven by Gary Pegg of North Carolina pulled out in front of him. Saylor stated he attempted to stop but hit the front end of the car. Saylor had a minor injury but refused transportation to the hospital. Gary Pegg was cited for failure to exercise due care.
