Forensics Confirms Identity Of Body In Greene Co.

An update on that story from Greeneville. The forensics center in Johnson City late yesterday officially confirmed that the body found in a cornfield off Doughtys Chapel Road in Greene County is indeed Danielle Owens. The 16 year old has been missing since December 12th. Police say the body was found near where Owens was last seen on Rogersville Road. Police had told the family of Danielle Owens that they were sure they body was hers, as the body matched her size and clothing found at the scene matched the clothing that Owens was last seen wearing. The cause of death has yet to be determined and the investigation into her death continues.
