Cocke County Unemployment Rate Down For November
Cocke County’s unemployment rate remains below 5%. The unemployment rate in Cocke County actually went down just a bit, from 4.6% in October to 4.5% in November. That followed a trend across most of the state where unemployment numbers were down for most of the counties. We say most because Greene County was one of the few that saw its unemployment rate actually go up in November. Their rate went from 4.0% in October to 4.2% in November. Hamblen County dropped from 3.6 to 3.4%.
Jefferson County dropped from 3.6 to 3.3%. Sevier County once again had the lowest unemployment rate in the region…staying steady at 2.7%.
Perry County no longer has the highest unemployment rate in the state, that honor in November went to Bledsoe County at 5.3%.
The lowest unemployment rate in the state was actually a three way tie at 2.5% with of course Williamson County then Cheatham County west of Nashville…and also Moore County…home of Jack Daniels.
