Date Set For Commodities Distribution In September

Mark this down on your calendar…Tuesday September 28th…that is the day that the Douglas Cherokee Economic Authority along with the USDA will have commodities distribution. Food items will be distributed to eligible individuals at the National Guard Armory off Cosby Hwy south of Newport from 9am-2pm. To be eligible you have to be a resident of Cocke County and must meet income requirements…that means your entire household income must not go over the established maximum of the state established poverty line. Recipients must bring proof of residency and know their current household income. This will once again be a drive-thru event. Commodities distribution set for Tuesday September 28th from 9-2.
