Dollywood Makes Huge Announcement

Dollywood made a huge announcement today…and we mean huge. Dolly herself was on hand to announce that next year Dollywood will debut their biggest roller coaster yet. Named “Big Bear Mountain”, the coaster will travel around the area of the park known as Wildwood Grove. The nearly 2 minute long ride will travel on almost 4,000 feet of track with audio, music and announcements from Ned Oakley who is looking for Big Bear….who legend has it is a large black bear that is known to wander around Wildwood Grove. The ride will reach speeds of 48 mph and will reach a height of 66 feet. It will be the biggest longest and largest roller coaster in the park. Big Bear Mountain is part of a $500 million expansion that Dollywood announced last year. Big Bear Mountain will debut in the spring of 2023.
