Fire Destroys Rental Cabin In Gatlinburg
Fire crews responded to a fire near the spur in Gatlinburg Saturday. The fire broke out Saturday morning after downed power lines caused a brush fire near Beech Creek and Timber Ridge Roads. The Gatlinburg Fire Department along with the Sevier County Volunteer Fire Department and the Sevier County Wildland Task Force battled that blaze which consumed 7 acres and a rental cabin. The fire was contained and put out within 2 hours. The people staying in the rental cabin were able to evacuate safely with no injuries.
